Project Management Knowledge Test
Exam Simulator (CAPM)®/(PMP)®

Consists of 50 problems and difficult situations typically encountered during the daily project work. The participants are asked to sort out the four possible answers 50 situational questions. For each situation, four options (i.e. four different ways of solving the problem) are suggested.

PM skillset is an ideal tool to evaluate not only the knowledge but also the competencies and soft skills of project managers.

The PM skillset evaluates a project manager’s ability in terms of two aspects:

  • Project Management

    • Initiating a project

    • Planning a project

    • Executing a project

    • Controlling a project

    • Closing a project

  • Management and Leadership

    • Communication

    • Leading

    • Managing

    • Cognitive ability

    • Effectiveness

    • Professionalism

In certain situations it might be useful to assess the knowledge of project managers or team members; i.e. prior to a training in order to determine the participants’ training needs more specifically, or to assess the current knowledge of project team members or employees in view of staff assignments.

The project Management knowledge test is designed as a first step in the project management learning process and comprises a set of questions and problems related to managing projects.

  • The test covers the areas:

    • Project Initiation

    • Scope Management

    • Project Planning

    • Risk Management

    • Cost Management

    • Quality Management

    • Progress Control

    • The Project Team

    • Project Closing

X-AM is not only an exam simulator that allows certification candidates to train in real conditions, it also serves other purposes:

  • Learning and reviewing: the questions are arranged according to the type of knowledge; thanks to the explanations given, they allow learners to extend their knowledge. Learners may view those questions which they found difficult several times, so as to consolidate their knowledge.

  • Evaluating oneself: thanks to the scores expressed in percent, learners may estimate their level of knowledge.

  • Tracking one’s progression: learners can view their results for each session and for each knowledge area; comparing those results allows them to identify the level of progression they have attained.
